Serves: 4 | Cooking Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 500 g lamb, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Preparation

  • Sauté Aromatics: Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onion until golden. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
  • Cook the Lamb: Add lamb pieces and stir for 5 minutes. Mix in tomatoes, spices, and salt. Cook until tomatoes break down and lamb is coated.
  • Simmer: Add water, cover, and cook on low heat for 30 minutes or until the lamb is tender. Allow most of the liquid to evaporate, leaving a thick, spiced coating on the lamb.
