Ingredients

  • 500 g minced beef (80% lean)
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Form and Smash Patties: Divide beef into 4 balls. Heat a cast-iron skillet, add the balls, and smash them flat with a spatula. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side.
  • Caramelize Onions: In a separate pan, sauté onions in butter until soft and caramelized.
  • Assemble Burgers: Toast buns, spread mayonnaise, add patties, cheese, and caramelized onions.
